Eugene Pik made this tarot case for Rada. The sides of the box are glued and stitched on a wooden last to create the cardholder’s desired shape and dimensions. The walls of the box are stitched at 45° and there are no visible stitches inside the box.
To improve the flap’s opening, Eugene made its hinge of the very flexible and extremely strong kangaroo leather. The gusset side is reinforced with the roo leather for the additional stiffness and also to match the hinge’s color for its design.
All images are created in CorelDraw and laser engraved. The case was antiqued with the Fiebing’s antique paste. The water stain effect is created with the water based dyes. The ‘scratches’ effect – these are real scratches with a rough sandpaper. The top coat is RTC Sheridan Resist and finish.
